Documentation
Most important: There are no passwords set for both root and the live user.
Remember to at least set the root password after installing FreevoLive to your harddisk!
Known Issues
Off course, FreevoLive is so great, that there are no issues at all! So if you think to have found an issue, it's probably your own fault! :-D
Well, ok, If you happen to have found any issue, please tell me.
How to...
- Install additional software The rpm database on FreevoLive is broken, so you'd have to update the database with a working version, before you can install any package. To do this, open a console, and become root. Now type:
# urpmi.update -aNow you can use the urpmi command-line tool, or the graphical Mandriva Control Center to install additional software.
Wishlist
- Support for uPnP shares At the monent, I have no idea how to implement this, as I don't have any experience with it. When I have enough time, I'll try to figure this out. It you happen to know this already, please share your thoughts with me ;-)
- TV configurator Some kind of Freevo plugin to ease the configuration of the TV wachting and recording would be nice. Again, if I have enough time I'll try to figure something out.
- Audio mixer I tried to run alsamixer from the commands plugin, but it doesn't work. Also, alsamixer doesn't have support for joystick or remote control devices, so again, a plugin for Freevo would be great.
